Red Delight Smoothie

Combine natural sweetness of banana, beetroot and dates with the earthy goodness of seeds and nuts in this smoothie to kick-start your day.

Equipment

  • 1 Blender or food processor

Ingredients
  

  • 1 banana
  • Handful of blueberries
  • 1 small beetroot or half a normal size one
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tsp puffed quinoa
  • Handful of walnuts
  • Oat milk
  • Date syrup
  • Cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Peel the banana and break it into smaller chunks.
  • Rinse the blueberries under running water and add them to a blender.
  • Peel the small beetroot and cut it into smaller pieces. Add it to the blender as well.
  • Measure and add 1 teaspoon of chia seeds, hemp seeds, and puffed quinoa to the blender.
  • Add a handful of walnuts to the other ingredients in the blender.
  • Pour in enough oat milk to cover the ingredients in the blender.
  • Drizzle 1 tablespoon of date syrup into the mixture.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon on top.
  • Secure the blender lid and blend until all the ingredients are smooth and well combined.
  • Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness by adding more date syrup if desired.
